Description |
This two storey home was built for a client with a large young family. It was very important that it be ‘family friendly’, giving everyone breathing space, and be light and warm. As you go through the front door, which leads off the verandah, you are greeted by a warm well proportioned living area which includes the family room, dining area and kitchen. This area is heated with a heat pump; the whole home is double glazed and lined with pink batts. Downstairs you will also find two bedrooms, children’s bathroom (with shower and bath), seperate WC, and laundry. The hallway, which has plenty of storage space, leads to the stairs that go to the upper floor. At the top of the stairs you are greeted by a wonderful ‘attic’ space which has a bedroom running off at each end. This extensive area can be used in any different ways, for example, mum and dad’s retreat, teenagers blob zone, a place to hold meetings, library, guest room, etc. Because of it’s great proportions, it can be changed to suit the need at the time or just used as a rumpus room. One of the upstairs bedrooms is the master bedroom which also has an ensuite with spa bath and walk in robe. The other bedroom is a large children’s room also with plenty of storage and room to move. |
